A BIOCLIN Health MOT is a comprehensive preventative health assessment that combines advanced biomarker testing, clinical measurements and personalised reporting. Every Health MOT includes a BIOCLIN Insight Report™, GP Clinical Summary, Health Score™, Health Age™ and a Personal Prevention Plan™ to help you better understand your health.

Many health conditions develop gradually and may not cause symptoms in their early stages. A Health MOT helps establish a baseline of your current health, identify potential risk factors and give you the information you need to make informed decisions before problems develop.

Most appointments take between 45 and 60 minutes, depending on the Health MOT you choose. During your visit, we’ll carry out your health assessment, collect your blood sample and complete any additional measurements included in your package.

Most results are available within 3–5 working days. Once your laboratory analysis and GP Clinical Summary are complete, you’ll receive a notification and can securely access your BIOCLIN Insight Report™, Health Score™ and Health Age™ through your account.

Yes. Every Health MOT includes a GP Clinical Summary. Your results are reviewed by a UK-registered GP, who highlights any significant findings and provides clinical recommendations where appropriate.

For most people, we recommend a Health MOT once every 12 months to monitor changes over time. If you’re managing a specific health concern, optimising your performance or following a personalised prevention plan, more frequent testing may be beneficial.

Some blood tests require fasting. We will tell you in your booking confirmation and appointment preparation guidance if you need to fast, and for how long. If you are unsure, contact the clinic before your visit.

In most cases you should continue prescribed medication unless your own doctor has told you otherwise. Bring a list of medicines and supplements to your appointment. Do not stop prescribed treatment without medical advice.

Your laboratory results and clinical measurements are reviewed as part of a GP Clinical Summary. You receive a written summary with key findings and recommendations. This is a review of your results and report — not an automatic face-to-face GP consultation unless that is arranged separately.

If a result is significantly abnormal or may need urgent attention, our clinical team will follow BIOCLIN’s abnormal-result pathway. That may include contacting you promptly, recommending follow-up with your NHS GP or another clinician, or advising emergency care where appropriate. Exact steps depend on the finding and clinical judgement.

Health MOTs and laboratory tests help identify risk factors and findings that may need further assessment. They are not a diagnosis unless a clinician clearly says so. Further tests, repeat sampling or referral may be recommended.

Occasionally a sample cannot be analysed (for example if it is insufficient or unsuitable). If that happens, we will contact you to arrange a repeat sample where appropriate. Any refund or rebooking options follow our terms and cancellation policy.

Yes, where you ask us to and we have the details needed to do so securely. You can also download or share your report from your account. Tell us your preferred GP details during onboarding or via your profile if you want a copy sent.

You can manage appointments from your dashboard. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to rebook where possible. Late cancellation, late arrival or non-attendance may mean the fee is retained where laboratory or clinician time has already been committed. Saturday and Sunday appointments may be available on request. Contact the clinic or check availability when booking if you need a weekend slot.

Essential is a clear baseline. Comprehensive adds broader cardiovascular, metabolic and thyroid screening. Executive is our most complete package, with advanced hormone, immunology and organ analysis. If you are unsure, start with Essential or contact us and we can help you compare options.

Allergy testing at BIOCLIN focuses on IgE allergen tests, which must be interpreted with your symptoms and medical history. A positive IgE result is not always clinically relevant. Food-specific IgG testing is not recommended by professional allergy organisations as a way to diagnose food allergy or intolerance, and those tests are not offered on our public catalogue pending clinical review.
